Fairies
Children of Eonil – Guardians of Nature
Origins
Fairies were born of Eonil in the First and Second Eras, shaped as guardians of nature’s vitality. They are the taller kin of Pixies, equal in stature to elves, but marked by their radiant wings. Together with their smaller counterparts, they tended the growth of plants, trees, and living things, embodying Eonil’s joy in creation.
Nature
-
Same size as elves, appearing near-identical in build and grace.
-
Distinguished by butterfly or dragonfly wings that shimmer with light and color.
-
Some are also said to have leaf-like wings, tying them more closely to specific plants.
-
Their magic is deeply tied to manipulating growth, bloom, and healing in nature — restoring groves, weaving vines, and awakening flowers.
Culture
-
Fairies lived in courts or circles, gathering in enchanted groves or meadows.
-
They were caretakers of natural places, working in harmony with Pixies who tended the smallest details of life.
-
Gentle and benevolent by nature, they were not warriors, but protectors through magic and harmony.
Fifth Era Memory
-
Rural folk speak of “fairy glades” where no mortal should disturb the flowers.
-
Sudden bursts of wild blossoms are sometimes whispered to mean, “a Fairy passed here.”
-
City dwellers dismiss such tales, but many villages still leave flowers or bowls of cream in secluded groves.
