Dag’da
Classification
Undead • Ghor-Corrupted • Hostile
⸻
Overview
Dag’da are not true vampires, but corrupted undead born from vampiric blood tainted by Ghor.
To the common people, Dag’da are indistinguishable from vampires — a confusion that has permanently stained the reputation of vampirism throughout Eonil.
⸻
Origin
The first Dag’da emerged when two of the original vampires consumed contaminated blood and fell to Ghor’s influence. Their corruption spread unchecked, leaving devastation in its wake and forcing the remaining vampires into secrecy.
⸻
Physical Traits & Abilities
Dag’da differ sharply from true vampires:
•Their bodies steadily degenerate rather than remaining preserved
•They burst into flame after prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
•They possess metamorphosis, allowing them to assume nearly any form
•Their true appearance is only revealed by mirrors
Unlike vampires, Dag’da cannot charm or influence minds.
⸻
Behaviour
Dag’da possess the intelligence of an average mortal but are driven by instinct, aggression, and an overwhelming need to survive.
They are:
•Highly territorial
•Prone to blood-frenzy
•Ruthless and indiscriminate killers
If left unchecked, a single Dag’da can annihilate entire settlements.
⸻
Contagion
Victims slain by a Dag’da will rise as Dag’da themselves when Denday next ascends, unless the body is burned.
⸻
Destruction
Dag’da are vulnerable to fire. All remains must be burned to prevent reanimation.
