Why I Use AI for Eonil
Eonil is my passion project—a world I’ve dreamed up and slowly brought to life in my spare time. My goal has always been to make Eonil as rich and vibrant as possible, not just for myself but for anyone who enjoys exploring fantasy worlds.
But here’s the truth: I’m one person, and I can’t do everything. My focus and what I’m most passionate about is learning to become a 3D artist and game developer, using Blender and Unreal Engine. That’s where I want to invest my time and energy—to get really good at creating models, environments, and eventually interactive experiences.
Writing stories and creating beautiful concept art are also essential parts of worldbuilding, but I don’t have the time to become an expert writer or illustrator just for this project. And hiring professionals for every piece I need isn’t an option—I simply don’t have that kind of budget.
That’s why I use AI.
- Generate character art, landscapes, and concepts to visualize Eonil
- Draft and organize lore, character backgrounds, and world history
- Experiment and iterate quickly, so I can focus on the big picture
I want to make it absolutely clear: every piece of lore, story, character, and concept on this site is my original creation. The AI tools I use help with wording, editing, and turning my ideas into art, but the heart and design of Eonil come from me. Think of AI as my assistant for polishing and visualizing what I’ve already imagined—not as the source of the ideas themselves.
I also want to be clear that I don’t see AI as a replacement for real artists or real writers. If I could, I would absolutely love to work with and commission talented people to bring Eonil to life. But as a solo creator on a budget, AI is what I can afford right now, so I use it as a practical tool to help realize my vision.
I always try to use these tools responsibly, and I see AI as a creative partner—not a substitute for my own imagination or hard work.
This is a labor of love, and I hope sharing both my process and the results helps inspire others to create, however they can.
