Angels
Summary
Origins & Mythology
Angels did not begin as a separate race, but as chosen followers of the twin goddesses. Quintra granted feathery wings and Denday, batwings, to her faithful. Over time, as the goddesses were banished and could create no more angels, those who had been transformed declared themselves a distinct people. Only children born from two angels inherit wings; children of an angel and a non-angel are born without wings, but still tend to live longer.
Physical Characteristics
- Average Height: Varies widely, as angels originally came from any race
- Build: Diverse, depending on ancestry
- Wings: Feathery (white, from Quintra) or bat-like (dark, from Denday); wings are the most defining trait
- Lifespan: Unknown, but angels age much slower than their parent race
- Distinct Features: Other racial traits; often radiant or otherworldly in bearing
Culture & Society
- Habitat: Scattered, with no known large settlements; many live in hiding or wander the world
- Social Structure: Once a scattered few among the faithful, later united as a small, desperate race struggling for survival
- Traditions: Maintaining angelic bloodlines; devotion to the twin goddesses even after their banishment; secrecy and self-preservation in the face of persecution
- Economy: Varies widely by individual, as most angels live among or in hiding from other races
Subraces & Variants
- Quintra’s Angels: Blessed with feathery, white wings and often associated with light, purity, and healing.
- Denday’s Angels: Blessed with bat-like, dark wings, typically associated with shadow, the night, and secrecy.

- Many angels were hunted by followers of the new Faiths, though some survived by renouncing their faith—without losing their wings.
- Angels today are scattered, with many living in secret or blending in with other races.
