Origins & Mythology

Dwarves were created by Quintra and Denday to be the guardians of treasure and master smiths. Their skills in forging and guarding valuable items remain unparalleled, and their presence is closely linked to the mountains and riches of Eonil.

Physical Characteristics

• Average Height: From just above a human’s waist up to a human’s shoulders
• Build: Extremely muscular and sturdy
• Lifespan: Up to 800 years
• Distinct Features: Stocky bodies, powerful arms, commonly bearded (if male), strong hands

Culture & Society

• Habitat: Prefer to live in or near mountains, especially in regions rich in ore and gems
• Social Structure: Hierarchical, ruled by a king and noble families in charge of settlements and fortresses
• Traditions: Renowned for their stubbornness and strict customs; known to guard treasures and maintain ancient traditions
• Economy: Master blacksmiths and jewelers; wealth is closely tied to mining, forging, and trade in precious goods

Subraces & Variants

• Ice Dwarves: Live on the icy Gondrey Peaks, primarily hunt snow beasts for food; famed for surviving extreme cold.
• Grundr Dwarves: Inhabit the mountainous and grassy island of Grundr, connected by vast underground tunnels; most dwarven ale crops are grown here.

• Dwarven lava-fuelled forges are the hottest on Eonil.
• The fortresses of the dwarves are considered the best-guarded on the planet.
• Dwarven nobility are among the richest individuals due to control of mining territory.
