Moon Facings

When Quintra banished Denday from the face of Eonil, according to the stories, she did it with such force that the half of the blue planet that was showing when it happened was damaged so much it stopped illuminating it’s soft blue light. Another side effect of that nights events was that Denday started spinning around her own axis same as Eonil does. In doing so she created facings of the blue moon.

Full moon is often referred to as Denday’s Full while the day that Denday isn’t visible at all is called Denday’s Dark. The new moon is referred to as First Denday’s Light.

One full Denday Cycles takes a little less than 26 days on Eonil, this means that there are nearly 13 Denday Cycles a year.

Ghor doesn’t really have anything resembling facings. The red moon illuminates from itself and typically is full. It isn’t uncommon however for the red moon to appear to have some facing, but this is just a play of light rather than actual facing of the tiny planet.

All three gods still have followers, cults and sometimes minions doing their bidding. All followers of the old gods, even the gentle followers of Quintra, are hunted down by the new faiths because as far as they are concerned it’s blasphemy. As such any talk of increase of decrease of influence of Quintra or Denday is frowned upon. There is clear evidence that Ghor activity increases when Ghor is visible however so the new faiths cannot deny that.
