Nymphs

Nymphs

Children of Eonil – Keepers of Water

Origins

Born with the flowing rivers, springs, and lakes of the first world, Nymphs were the most ethereal of Eonil’s children. They appeared as radiant figures of beauty, embodying the fertility and purity of water. Where water flowed, life followed — and the Nymphs guarded that gift.

Nature

  • Appeared in many forms: lake nymphs, river nymphs, spring nymphs.

  • Always tied to a specific body of water.

  • Known to bless those who treated their waters with respect, but to shun or curse those who defiled it.

Fall

In the early Age of Darkness, Nymphs too vanished. Whether destroyed, corrupted, or drawn back into the waters forever, no one knows. Some whispered they became sirens or drowned spirits, but such claims remain unproven.

Fifth Era Memory

  • Villagers avoid drawing water from certain pools or waterfalls, claiming they are “not ours to touch.”

  • Offerings of flowers, coins, or honey are left at sacred springs.

  • Tales persist of travelers lured into the water by ghostly voices, never to return.
